  1. The children have arrived safely on the Isle of Wight. The weather is sunny and we have visited Dinosaur Isle this afternoon. We will be arriving at the hotel at about 5pm.

  2. The children's messages show everyone enjoyed fossil hunting, had fun on the beach and are happy with their room and the food at our hotel.

Most children were asleep by 11pm; a couple took a half hour or so longer to settle but everyone had an undisturbed night.

We've all now had breakfast and are getting ready to visit the birds of prey at the Owl and Falconry centre. This afternoon we're off to Amazon World and then after we've shared Aarya's birthday cake for tea we'll be ten pin bowling this evening.

Pain au chocolat needs to be on the breakfast menu at home now please: a popular choice which went down very well for the start of our third day!

Today we're off to Osborne House to experience life as a Victorian servant and have a look around Queen Victoria's holiday home. After lunch we'll walk down to their private beach and explore the Royal children's play house and gardens.

After our evening meal we're off to play a round of crazy golf; those who were less successful at bowling (staff mainly!) have a chance to redeem themselves and their sporting reputation!
